Discover your Kua Number

Discovering your Kua Number can help you achieve success, health, and prowess. It's easy, too!

As popular as feng shui has become in modern society, it is no secret that the discipline involves a lot of very abstract notions and unrealistic expectations of its users. That said, there's little denying the power of feng shui when one does employ its principles in their daily lives. That's why it is crucial to anyone who respects the power of feng shui to find a middle ground where they can practice the core principles that are essential to the practice without having to abandon practicality and comfort in their daily lives.

Your Kua number reveals your fortunate direction!

One of the more effective and practical methods of feng shui involves finding your Kua number. A Kua number divides you into a select group based upon the precise date of your birth. Finding out this number is quite easy (and will cost you nothing!), and will be discussed further at the end of this article.

The theory of a Kua number is that people work, sleep, and generally live more effectively while facing in a certain direction. I for example, have a Kua number of 6 and fall in the West group. This number tells me that I can achieve success by working, sleeping, and sitting with my face pointed west. However, other aspects of my life which I wish to improve have a separate corresponding direction. Let's say I am having health troubles. According to my Kua number, I can gain an edge in my recovery by facing northeast whenever possible in my daily activities. There are corresponding directions for enhancing relationships and personal development as well, which are all revealed by your Kua number.

Time to redecorate AGAIN?

Living your daily life according to your Kua number will, inevitably, involve some amount of reorganization. The important thing to remember when adjusting to the idea of a Kua number is that these are general guidelines and not strict, hard-line rules. If you share a living space with someone, such as a significant other, chances are you will not have the same Kua number. This probably causes a great deal of turmoil for those who are not prepared for such an instance. The most effective way to share in the benefits of your Kua numbers is to find a common ground and balance the layout of your home between both of your Kua numbers.

Don't fight over your Kua number! It's counter-productive!

Remember that the idea, as with all feng shui, is to create a positive energy. Arguing with your loved ones over whose Kua number should take precedence will NOT provide this positive energy.

Now I'll bet you're just dying to find out what YOUR Kua number is. Head on over to Circle-of-Light.com and use their handy Kua number calculator to get your Kua number and the Kua number of your significant other. Once you have your number, you can check their tables and see which directions are the most appropriate for you to work in. If you're mathematically inclined, they'll also explain how to figure out the Kua number for yourself.

Now... which way is West?
